Visiting Big Thunder Ranch for the different holidays has become one of my favorite things to do. It’s a nice change of pace from running ride to ride and stuffing your face with delicious snacks and food, and you get to check out unique disney-themed art pieces, special character meets, arts and crafts for kids, and more.
Virtually walk with me on this quick photo tour of the Halloween-themed Big Thunder Ranch!

Even the entrance is decorated and changes with the holiday
The main path is filled with autumn colors — fallen leaves, hay, pumpkins, and sun flowers are everywhere, complimented by orange and black Halloween decorations throughout the area.
To your left, a shack has been decked out with people-sized pumpkin-headed scarecrows! You’ll see the piano player in a lovely red dress, two Cowboys playing cards at the table, and another pair sitting next to the fireplace. I wonder if they come alive at night!
The main area covered with canvas above, houses the stage, character meet, arts & crafts that everyone can do, and an artist area where you can watch disney artists create disney pumpkin characters.
To meet the character, or villain in this case, you would wait in line to enter the Conjure A Villain tent, and you would cast a spell to make them appear. Then you get to take photos with them! I didn’t get a chance to experience this, but that’s how a friend of mine explained it to me. Sounds like a special way to meet a character.
There is definitely a lot to see here. Take some time for a closer look, and you’ll probably find something to make you smile. 🙂
And lastly, my favorite part: the pumpkin art! What’s your favorite design?

That Maleficent is magnificent!

The details in the green paint and shiny gold make this my fave

Very detailed! But kinda creepy…

“One night I said it to me girl, and now me girl’s my wife!”
Hope you enjoyed the tour! If you haven’t seen Big Thunder Ranch at Easter time, check out our tour earlier this year.
