On Friday, October 11th, I went to the Halloween party at Disneyland for the very first time, and let me tell you, it’s a big kid’s dream come true! When I got to the ticket turnstile at the front gate, I was given a shiny teal wristband and a Halloween party park map…
The park was totally decked out with pumpkins, Mickey ghosts, and all kinds of lights (tree lights, projectors, and more), and eery fog.
Everyone was wearing costumes of all kinds, even the classic Disney characters has theirs on. I had my costume on too, one of my childhood favorites — Chip!
And guess who ran up to me with a big hug in one of the trick-or-treat lines?
The real Chip! This was my favorite moment of the day. Glad to see you, too Chip! Chip, Dale, and I were the only 3 chipmunks in the entire park. Everyone else was dressed up as their favorite prince/princess or Monsters Inc. character. I even saw a few Finn and Jake duos (not Disney, but Adventure Time is totally mathematical in my book). All-in-all, it was tons of fun dressing up, seeing other people’s costumes, and getting more candy than you could ever eat. I’ll definitely be going again next year!
NEXT UP: I had quite a few people at the park ask me about my costume so I’ll be detailing that in my next post. Until then. 🙂
